the teenage engineering drum utility is made for creating drum kits for OP–1 field, OP–1 and OP–Z. it lets you merge 24 one-shot samples or loops, into a single drum kit file (custom .aif file), ready for import and use in your device of choice. the drum utility is compatible with both OP-1 and OP–Z (12 second mono), as well as OP–field (20 second stereo).
instructions
- select if you want to create either an OP-1 / OP–Z or an OP–1 field sample pack, at the top.
- drag and drop any supported audio file, group of files, or folder onto a sample slot to load it.
- if you drop outside of a sample slot, it will load the sample(s) to the slot adjacent to the last loaded slot.
- if you drop a sample pack onto the utility, it will load that sample pack into the appropriate slots.
the bar at the top will indicate how many seconds your sample pack currently utilizes and a notification will show if you have gone beyond the maximum allowed seconds for a valid sample pack. - click "export" at the bottom-right to export your new sample pack to an aiff file, ready to be loaded onto your synth.
