yes-s-s-s!
finally you can s-s-s-sample with the OP-Z.
the new os update for the OP-Z will be available for download here.
it includes a brand new sampling mode functionality and lets you sample direct to your OP-Z from a microphone, headset or usb.
with the 2 channel audio interface you can now send digital audio to your OP-Z for sampling and receive digital audio from your OP-Z for easy recording.
the update also features a full OP-1 sample format that supports pitch, gain, playmode and play direction. other updates in the new os are improved stability and bug fixes.
to create samples on the OP-Z, you can either record directly onto the OP-Z and edit the samples on the unit using either the built-in microphone, headset or through usb on a computer.
for example one way you can sample from your pocket operators to the OP-Z is to use an audio interface to connect the audio output from your pocket operator to your computer, then plug in your OP-Z via usb to your computer and select the OP-Z as the audio output on your computer, you can then use any program that allows for audio recording/monitoring and then either record the audio from your Pocket Operators and then play the recorded sound into the OP-Z's sampler or monitor the audio and sample directly from the live source.
alternatively you can use the OP-1 drum utility (available here) and record the samples to your computer then use the audio files to create a sampler patch which can then be imported to your OP-Z.
