when connecting a line level stereo (trs) signal over a 3.5mm connector to a stereo input you can use any (trs) stereo cable, such as this these:
usually however you will be plugging in to mono (ts) inputs. this is the case for most mixers, audio interfaces and sound cards. in these scenarios you will need to split the stereo audio signal into two mono signals, left and right, using a cable such as this:
note: plugging a stereo signal (trs) into a mono input (ts) won’t work properly and will cause the signal to phase, depending on the stereo information of the audio.
note: never connect a device to an input with mic phantom power enabled. this may seriously damage it and will void warranty. always make sure to turn off any phantom power before connection.
