you probably already know that TX–6 has a built-in synthesizer. but did you know you can also use it as a six voice polysynth, controlled wirelessly by an iPad? we didn't, until jakob haq showed us how!

this setup is based around the TX–6 recieving MIDI over BLE from the iPad. audio from TX–6 could have been routed straight to the iPad using usb-c, but here jakob chooses to use an external sound card. here's the concept, as explained by jakob:
- 2x KB-1 by Kai Aras - used as keyboard and controller and to change synth sounds in TX–6.
- 1x Polythemus AU by Anthony Saunders - used to split the voices from KB-1 to six individual MIDI channels. 1-6 - one for each channel on the mixer.
- 6x MIDI Route (MIDI splitter) by Victor Porof - used to send trig signals to Flux Mini 2.
- 6x Flux Mini 2 by Caelum Audio - used as MIDI envelopes to control each individual filter for each channel in TX–6.
- the main audio out from TX–6 is routed into AUM by Kymatica, where J_NO Chorus by Adam Bell (free app) and Eos 2 (reverb) by Audio Damage Inc is used.
this setup is so complex that it even breaks the graphics in AUM.
details of the setup.
this is off course completely overkill, however thanks jakob for the inspiration!
