audio clipping can occur either at each input, or at the master, when adding several sources together:
- audio input clipping
input clipping should be indicated by all LEDs at the channel vu meter turning red. if that happens you should lower your input gain. if your input signal is still clipping on lowest input gain, you need to lower the signal output from the source instrument if possible. the TX–6 limiter has no effect in this case.
- master audio clipping
the master audio clips (or limits if limiter is on) when mixing several loud sources together. this is indicated on the master vu meters. if this happens you should lower the master volume, until clipping stops.
